How to use this product?

Instructions for use :

Before use, read the instructions for use carefully. The URGO Resistant Warts pen contains a highly effective but corrosive gel. Please observe each step of use described in the instructions for use. Keep the instructions for use; you may need to read them again. In case of doubt, consult your general practitioner or pharmacist.

To protect the surrounding healthy skin before application, it is advisable to apply a thin layer of Vaseline around the wart. Be sure not to put Vaseline on the wart as this could minimize the treatment effect.

  1. To open the pen, rotate the cap until the two red arrows align, then pull
  2. When first used, press the pen button several times, with 5 seconds between each press, until the bluish gel appears in the transparent part of the applicator tip. A single drop of gel (1 click) is enough for an application. If a single drop does not fully cover the wart, apply another gel drop on the wart, without touching the healthy skin around.
  3. Hold the pen vertically with the applicator downwards to make the gel reach the applicator tip.
  4. Apply carefully and strictly a single drop on the wart. The bluish gel makes easy to identify where the gel is applied.
  5. If the gel gets accidentally in contact with healthy skin, rinse thoroughly with clean water and soap to prevent irritation or burning of the healthy skin. To protect the surrounding healthy skin before application, it is advisable to apply a thin layer of Vaseline around the wart. Be sure not to put Vaseline on the wart as this could minimize the treatment effect.
  6. After application, let the gel dry for 10-15 minutes before putting on clothes or shoes.
  7. Repeat twice a day for 4 days. For children with small warts, apply once a day for 4 days.
  8. Thoroughly wipe the applicator with a tissue to remove excess gel. Close the pen with the cap and make sure the red arrows are not aligned.
  9. During treatment, the wart will become darker and start to peel by forming a scab. Depending on the size, the wart will disappear within 1 to 2 weeks after completion of treatment to leave room to a smoother and slightly pink skin. The skin will recover its natural tint in the following weeks.
  10. Do not expose the treated area to the sun until the skin recovers its natural colour.
  11. If the wart does not completely disappear, treatment may be repeated after a 4 day break. You can perform this treatment schedule up to 4 times maximum. If the wart has not disappeared after the 4th time, please consult your general practitioner.
